Phil lives together with his unconventional mother Glass and twin sister Dianne in a wonderful house. He's curious as to the identity of his father, all the more so given his mother's persistent silence when pushed on the matter, and also unable to understand the tensions between Glass and Dianne, with his sister withdrawing ever more into a world of her own. Fortunately he has Kat, a close friend in whom he can confide, though the relationship between the two is complicated by the appearance of the mysterious Nicolas, with whom Phil falls head over heels in love. Amongst the chaos, envy, jealousy and family secrecy Phil is forced to find his way in life, in this adaptation of Andreas Steinhöfel's best-selling novel “The Centre of the World”. JN/AS
