On a fateful summer’s day a housefire breaks out. Lead by a courageous little girl and her faithful hound the young inhabitants manage to rescue all the neighbours and call the fire brigade, which in turn ensure that the fire does not engulf the whole street.
The film is based on a story thought up by pupils of a Warsaw primary school and merges scenes in which the children themselves act together with dreamlike animated sequences. Reality is combined with magic, akin to the magic world of the children’s thoughts.
