HASENHERZ insightfully examines an issue which has troubled pubescent girls for generations: As of when am I a woman? Thirteen-year-old Janni is unhappy as she's frequently perceived to be a boy. One day a production team turns up at school and assigns her the role as prince in the film Hasenherz. To save face she tells her classmates she is due to play the role of princess. With time however she gains in self-confidence and manages to reconcile her physical appearance with her inner feelings.
