After the death of their father, who always encouraged them to do honest work, Askar and Bekzat engage in thievery. They are not clever, but they are extremely fast and so even the police can usually only see their shadows moving away in the distance. One day, the athletics coach of the Kazakh national team watches Askar and Bekzat storm off again and is very impressed. Without further ado, he suggests training them to become champions. This new high-performance environment is an unfamiliar place for the brothers, who actually prefer to slouch on the couch. Only the arrival of the beautiful trainer's daughter awakens their motivation. Will they finally manage to pull themselves together? Yernar Nurgaliev stages a fast-paced hurdle race across deserts and the ups and downs of love.
