Láska je láska

Love is Love

Milan Cieslar
Czech Republic, 2012, 105 Min
Czech Television

Eighteen-year-old Maruška is blind. Longing
to finally fall in love she encounters Marek,
who she believes is a blond, blue-eyed angel,
an impression which he does nothing to
contradict. It's not as if she can see that
he's in fact a dark-skinned Rom. Maruška's
grandfather can see everything quite clearly
however, and deep down he's hurt. The boy
next door Honza also has love troubles:
He's gay and in love with his lecturer.
When his mother learns of the truth all hell
is let loose. This comedy from the Czech
Republic is a an appeal for tolerance in the
face omnipresent prejudice, not only in
times of love, with audience appeal.
