Gypsy Spirit: Harri Stojka, a Journey
Should it be true that, as is often claimed, the roots of the Sinti and Roma peoples can be found in India, then surely there they must play in the same music... In order to explore the origins of the musical talents inherited from his father, the renowned Viennese jazz guitarist of Roma descent Harri Stojka sets off on a journey to Rajasthan together with his colleague Mosa Sisić. Sure enough the two discover remarkable similarities between European and Indian Gypsy music. The film documents this musical journey, which culminates in an electrifying Austro-Indian-Romanian Roma superband concert.

Klaus Hundsbichler - – born 1953 in Kufstein, Austria. Editor of numerous music videos and documentary films, also wrote the soundtrack for MIDSUMMER MADNESS (2007). The success of GYPSY SPIRIT saw him win the 2011 Romy film award. Based in Vienna, Hundsbichler currently works as a director, scriptwriter, editor and composer.
