Back in 2009 Vlado Sendrei ran for office in local elections in Slovakia, the first ever Rom to do so. In his home town of Kokava nad Rimavicou he hopes to conquer the hearts not only of “his” community, but also the local “whites”. The commitment of the popular musician and activist doesn't meet with the approval of his wife Jana however. The erstwhile singer, who traded in a promising career for the calm family life, is forever complaining about Vlado's minor experiments with politics. A study on the marriage and election campaign of an unconventional politician rich in ironic insight.
