In her cinematic work, visual artist Frauke Rahr has often dealt with Sorbian people and culture in and around Rohne (Rowno) in the municipality of Schleife. Her latest film, shot in several locations in Lusatia, observes the intimate scenes behind the scenes as the Sorbian winter custom is prepared. An experimental, quiet study of the 'trappings` before a multitude of colored ribbons and delicate white lace obscure the face of the Christ Child as it moves from house to house in its village, bringing its blessings to the people.
