There is a fire in Jurek Bukol's studio. But by then the Polish carnival float builder is already dead - beaten to death by a person he apparently trusted... Cottbus is dangerous in the new Polizeiruf 110. Vincent Ross of the German-Polish police station in Świecko has to deal with cover-ups, corruption and a cuckolded commissioner.

A well-aimed blow to the back of the head sealed the fate of the unsuspecting victim. Vincent Ross and his Cottbus colleague Alexandra Luschke uncover a quagmire of cover-ups and nepotism in which senior city administration and police officials may have had a hand. Ross encounters a lot of resistance, but is not deterred and finds a competent partner in Luschke. Together they break down a wall of silence and Cottbus transforms into the secret protagonist of the crime thriller as the backdrop for car chases and the scene of the exuberant carnival. A performance by the "Jazzy Diamonds", a Cottbus jazz dance formation, brings additional verve and authenticity to "rbb" Polizeizeiruf 110.

Christoph Schnee - Born in Grevenbroich in 1972, Schnee first worked in the team of the "Harald Schmidt Show" and then on "Switch". He then moved into the narrative form of comedy with "Alles Atze", "Berlin, Berlin" and "Nikola". With his distinctly detailed, character-oriented way of bringing stories to life, from 2008 onwards he made feature-length films with strong characters in the crime genre in addition to comedies. Schnee directed most episodes of the successful ARD crime comedy series "Mord mit Aussicht" with Caroline Peters and Bjarne Mädel from 2007 to 2013.
