New Zealand, the land of the long white
cloud, becomes the new homeland of Russian
experimental filmmaker Misha and his
wife/muse Nadia. Hoping to find inspiration
and make a career comeback they disembark
in Auckland. Paradise has its drawbacks
however. Nobody needs an awardwinning
avant-garde director. When it comes
to the point that the pair are hard
pressed for money the question arises as to
whether art is worth sacrificing everyday
existence over. Whilst Nadia searches for
pragmatic solutions, Misha becomes ever
more obsessed with his new film project ...

Stephen Sinclair - – born 1956 in Auckland. Both screenwriter
and director, Sinclair worked together with
Peter Jackson on the scripts for MEET THE
FEEBLES (1989), BRAINDEAD (1992) and
LORD OF THE RINGS: THE TWO TOWERS (2002).
RUSSIAN SNARK is his debut feature film.
