Michal Kollár - Michal Kollar is one of the most established producer/directors in Slovakia, producing high quality productions that meet with international acclaim such as The House by Z. Liova (premiered at BERLINALE 2011 as the first Slovak film in 20 years) , Honeymoon by J. Hrebejk, Home Care by S. Horak and others. Kollar is an EAVE, ACE and “Producer on the move 2011” alumni for Slovakia. His directorial debut “THE RED CAPTAIN” starring one of the most esteemed Polish actors Maciej Stuhr internationally premiered in competition at 2016 Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival. In 2016 the film broke the best Slovak-feature opening weekend record in Slovakia over the past 17 years and so far it was theatrically distributed in Czechia and Poland.
Under the wings of his studio KFS PRODUCTION he directed THE ULTIMATUM, 8-epi TV miniseries, which was completely shot in Slovakia during several Covid-19 pandemic seasons. It is the first co-production of The Czech public TV and Slovak private channel TV JOJ.
