Three boldfaced girls live a carefree existence; they dress up, party and eternally provoke. Suddenly however a misunderstanding puts this infernal trio to the test.
Monika, Missy and Retro have more than a frivolous lifestyle in common; they at times appear close in a way that goes beyond friendship. It's at this point that Retro's father stumbles upon the girls at dark, whereupon it comes to false accusations. The way to forgiveness blocked by a mutual sense of pride, the girls' friendship appears under threat, at which point a dream, a tape and Kurt Cobain enter the picture. A visually-impressive coming-of-age tale on friendship and trust that proved to be the last work of a talented director who met a tragically early death. JG
