Weißwasser lies at the very edge. Mirrors are made there, mines are dug, whilst currently whole villages are being relocated, businesses closed, and moorlands regenerated. At least this is the intention. Just like the structural transformation that echoes as a vague hope in this cinematic poem.

The camera captures black and white images from unusual angles, while on the soundtrack people from Weißwasser reflect on the fairy tale of revival in a manner that is laconic and sober in equal manner. A bitter, poetic reflection on an eternal promise. Lusatia 2021.
