It all starts with Zhanna returning from Moscow to her provincial home town, obsessed with the idea of doing business. What could be highly successful in Moscow that doesn't exist in her home-town? Exactly: a gym. The fitness industry is booming and, fed up with only working for others, she is willing to take a gamble. When her old friends and former colleagues hear of the idea they are initially sceptical. However, when you think about it, maybe it's not such a bad idea? They resolve to work together, and so begin the adventures of four women in the world of business. Terrifyingly honest, with a lot of love for the provinces and respect for the film's four protagonists, CHICKS opens a new chapter for the Russian TV series landscape, speaking as it does of humanity and cruelty, true friendship and love, as well as faith and the willingness to fight for a dream.
