Garbage Theory
Panna is lonely and unable to understand other people's emotions and relationships. In her search for social contacts she sends music into space and attempts, unsuccessfully, to prove that life on earth originated from the genetic waste of aliens. That is when, lo and behold, one night she actually gets a visit from an alien. Boy has heard Panna's music and now wants to get to know the singer of his favourite song in person. The two strangers team up: she helps him accomplish his mission and he promises her that, in return, he will take her to an unknown planet. Neither of them reckoned with H-1.48 however, hot on the heels of Boy with plans of putting a bigger plan into practice: In order to forestall man's instinct to destroy other worlds, humanity is to be wiped out. If necessary at the expense of Panna and Boy's lives. This is the start of a race against time, a nocturnal adventure journey through a Budapest full of fantasy-like elements. Pointedly edited and full of verve, GARBAGE THEORY is the wonderfully amusing musical debut film from Ákos Badits.
