The Hungarian neurosurgeon Márta has lived in the United States for almost 20 years. When she meets a colleague named János at a medical congress she believes she has found the love of her life. The two agree to see each other again on the Liberty Bridge in Budapest, yet János doesn't show up for the romantic meeting. When Márta finally finds him in the hospital where he practices János claims not to remember her. Subsequently she abandons her career in the USA and returns to her former homeland in order to find an explanation for János' behaviour. Her confusion of emotions threatens to mutate into a dangerous obsession however, as delusion and reality get increasingly mixed up in this mysterious psychological drama from Lili Horvát. Lili Horvát's second feature film was this year the inaugural recipient of the “New Vision Award”, presented by the European film festival network “Moving Images - Open Borders”, a network which numbers a total of seven film festivals, inclusive of the FFC. (www.miob.info)
