Out in the woods tree protectors and lumberjacks exchange blows over supposedly sacred trees. The overwhelmed mayor signs both the felling permit and the activists' petition, thus not exactly defusing the conflict. Meanwhile, back in the village, the children cannot figure out what to do without a smartphone. The world outside is unfamiliar to them; it's not a life with followers and view counts and their grandmother's loving presentation of the garden does little to change matters. Fortunately, they stumble upon instructions on how to create a Kratt, a magical figure from ancient Estonian mythology which does everything its master says and yet also has to work constantly; if not, it will soon have its master by the throat. The children take action. They sell off grandma's soul, and she proceeds to kick up a storm, leaving behind little memory of the dear old person she used to be. Though their discovery even manages to attract the attentions of the President of the United States, the children soon have only one wish: they want their beloved grandmother back.
