Time travel, however, is not magic, but instead a highly sophisticated psychological experiment. On the advice of his lover the father asks an eccentric psychologist for help. His unusual methods might seem cruel and shocking to many yet they almost always deliver a guaranteed result. At great expense an abandoned village is lavishly reconstructed to restore the atmosphere of 19th century Russia. Actors are hired to transform Grisha's life and personality. Each of his movements is closely monitored by a team of scientists with the help of countless hidden cameras. The enfant terrible will have to relearn how to communicate with people, appreciate the simple joys of everyday life, work hard, and find true love. And yet Grisha's life in this staged past proves quite different from what the psychologists had predicted ... JJ
