A fast-paced coming-of-age film from the Belarusian provinces. There is a close emotional connection between the three teenagers Nastya, Sasha and Khristina, yet one day their world is shaken by a piece of news that reveals the ugly side of their fellow humans.

Like so many Belarussians, Nastya and Sasha want to study in the European Union, and take Polish language lessons after school, while their friend Khristina is primarily interested in sex with her new flame. It's only stupid that they never use a condom, as a result of which she is forever terrified of getting pregnant. Fortunately, Nastya is always by her side, and even agrees to take an HIV test with her in order to allay her fears. The result of the test however tears her life apart like a bomb. At every level a campaign of persecution is set in motion, fuelled by a mixture of ignorance, lack of education and fear of the unknown. JJ
