A school bus; this small village school in the Turkish mountains has lacked one for a long time. Now it is finally being delivered, but nobody has given any thought to who will drive it. Situation comedy about a teacher in the province who has to hold her own against patriarchal prejudice.

When nobody else can be found who can drive the school bus, the young teacher decides to learn to drive herself. Part mentality-, part landscape portrait, the film describes the notorious challenges women have to face in a male-dominated society with both effortlessness and humour. JP
