A search for work leads Igor to a former psychiatric ward, at the centre of which stands a vault. There he finds the assessment report of a certain Walter Fischer, who back in the 1930s set off on a hike in the fabled Tribeč mountains and later showed up, both injured and utterly disoriented, at the clinic. In the course of investigations for his blog Igor finds out that Fischer's case is only one of many such chilling stories. Determined to get to the bottom of the story he heads, together with his girlfriend, a conspiracy theorist and an inveterate sceptic, into the mountains, and yet none of them are ready for what they are to find …

Once again Peter Bebjak proves himself a master of many genres. Whilst he skilfully interweaves fact and fiction, and admirably experiments with depth of field, close up and unanticipated perspectives, the soundtrack perfectly accompanies the film's increasingly chilling storyline. This film adaptation of Slovak author Jozef Karika's bestseller was shot as a three-part TV series and in advance brought on cinema screens as a film. CF
