THE INTERVIEW
Sonya is a practically-minded and serious young woman: she works hard, is successful in her studies and is always willing to help her mother. In contrast to her father she has no ambitions of becoming a writer of children's books. Instead she wants to become a journalist: that is, rather than tell tales at the end of which all ambiguity is clarified and justice reigns, she wants to deal with reality. Nevertheless, a childish longing to complete the tale of a girl who grew up without a father remains. Only the realisation that the past will nevertheless remain unchanged is able to set her free. DJ

Ivan Sosnin - born in 1990 in Kirovgrad, Russia. Already during his studies of metallurgy, he shot music and advertising videos. Afterwards he became more involved with the medium of short film. THE INTERVIEW is based on his own life experience growing up without a father.
