MY MOLDOVA - MOLDOVKITE ZA TVARDITSA

The OWH Film Studio is a production company based in Chisinau, who realised the short film series "My Moldova" in 2018 with the financial support of the local US embassy. A total of 27 five-minute films portray the country, its people and their way of life. The FilmFestival Cottbus presents eleven of them in the program.

The participants of the initiative, still at the beginning of their film careers, collected information about people, places, social movements and folklore traditions, which in their opinion characterise the Republic of Moldova. All regions were taken into account. Thus, a comprehensive portrait of the everyday life in the country was created. At the same time, the aim of the project was to support local documentary film production and help young filmmakers to create a portfolio with which they can gain a foothold in the industry. Furthermore, the OWH Film Studio wants to continuously initiate film and television productions, do marketing on a national and international scale and train young people in film workshops and seminars. Since 2001, OWH Film Studio has also organized the International Documentary Film Festival Chronograf in Chisinau. MM
