ODKUD SPADLA LETUŠKA?

WHERE DID THE STEWARDESS FALL FROM?

Adéla Babanová
Czech Republic, 2013, 12 Min

A special patient comes to consciousness in the hospital: a stewardess who survived a plane crash from a great height. Her memory leaves her in the lurch – but the doctor and a friendly man willingly fill in all the gaps.

Tomáš Vach

What caused the crash of a Yugoslavian plane over a small Bohemian town in 1972? Was it a terrorist attack? Was the plane shot down because it came too close to the Soviet government plane with Leonid Breshnev on board? Stewardess Vesna Vukolic, the only survivor, can't hardly remember anything. She can only recollect single fragments, which allows for several theories. But is it really her own fragments of memory that are later spread by the international press – or has someone whispered something to her? CF
