Trailer
Józio (little Joseph) hasn’t had an easy life. Teased in Poland as a Jew, excluded in Israel as a Pole, in the care of a traumatized mother, who would like to keep the boy at home for life. In 1968 Józio's family left the country like many other Jews. At a time when the socialist government under Władysław Gomułka was handling with anti-Semitic slogans, in the wake of which pogroms became again socially acceptable. After more than 50 years, Józio returns to the place of his birth, Wałbrzych, and somehow the old man is still a small, injured child. The film is a monologue while driving the protagonist home in Poland. In the back seat are an old man and his memories full of pain, which are taking the viewer's breath away and deny him any distance. KM
