Trailer
A box of AGFA photos from the Second World War and two 16mm films: Private pictures, mixed with photos from the Warsaw Uprising, from the ghetto in Częstochowa in Silesia ... The filmmaker Michał wants to know where they came from and how they came into the family's possession. Sometimes the traces are condensed, sometimes they are blurred. Car license plates, which can be seen in a photo, lead him to the Schröter family, who ran a transport company before the war in Hirschberg, today's Jelenia Góra. Time and again, Michał loses himself in his exploration of the past between historical and personal motives. However, this forces him to constantly look for new perspectives and to put his original narrative in a new light. By using unique archive materials this found-footage reflects on the impossibility of telling history from one perspective. KM
