TERA

A candy factory in the west of the Ukraine. Lyuba rushes to work. She talks a little, but her face speaks volumes. Her eyes are glassy, ​her gaze is empty. He hasn’t called. There is no sign of her son who is in the war zone in the east. Lyuba sets out on her own for search, but she can’t find him. So, she goes back to the assembly line and says nothing. But also, the faces of the colleagues show desperation. And then comes the call that changes everything.

A very quiet and deliberate film, what only reinforces the helplessness in the eyes of leading actress Natalia Polovynka and makes the viewer feel empathy for her. Director and screenwriter Nikon Romanchenko has also published the material as a short film (UNAVAILABLE) and thus won a prize at the Molodist International Film Festival.
