Sawing, screwing, measuring, a beer and trying out lying inside again and again. Because it should fit, the last house. Three Cottbus citizens build their coffins and thereby encounter life, its finiteness and themselves.

In her documentary etude, Anna Kindermann, born in Cottbus, succeeds in sketching a large theme with a sober eye, laconic humour and lightness in a few strokes. The surprise success at the Oberhausen International Short Film Festival, where it won the Westart Viewer Award. GL

Anna Kindermann - born in 1987 in Cottbus, Germany. Visual Artist. She studied Graphic Design at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam and is currently completing her postgraduate degree at the KHM Cologne. Her short films and video installations are characterized above all by a performative and essayistic character.
