The melancholic landscape of the Spreewald and its reflection in the natural metaphors of Mina Witkojc's poetry form the framework of an atmospheric collage of pictures, poems, memories of companions and contemporary witnesses, historical documents and archive material. The collage simultaneously tells of exclusion and discrimination, of the oppression of a minority and the search for one's own identity, of the importance of one's mother tongue and the power of poetry.
