Trailer
Adam sits in an uncomfortable long-distance bus to Poland and films his everyday life for his unborn daughter. Then he rents an expensive car and drives to the countryside. On the way, he deals with a customer in English, it seems to be big business. The surprise is perfect when the "prodigal son" suddenly shows up to his family on Christmas Eve. He wants to sell his grandfather's house in order to build up a life in the Netherlands with the money, however, this plan doesn’t meet with approval of everyone. Above all, his father, who once ruined his health in Germany as a guest worker, is shocked that his son wants to leave Poland for good. In this gripping as well as emotional family drama Piotr Domalewski succeeds in taking stock of the Polish province. In Poland, this feature film debut was regarded as best local film of the year and Dawid Ogrodnik as Adam proves once again that he is one of the best Polish actors. JT
