1996 at the German-Polish border. Kamuel locates a metal box from the Second World War on a military site. Inside is the death list of SS Unterscharführer Friedrich Weiss. He wants to confront the man, but meets only his daughter and granddaughter. In the crosstalk a misfortune happens – and Kamuel flees. Fifty years after the triggering events, this short film by Marco Wojciechowski sometimes seems bizarre and exaggerated. But guilt, revenge and forgiveness know no statute of limitations. NaF
