Daytime robbery, loitering in the world of the homeless, putting wigs and other things on the busts of the antifascist resistance heroes, slipping into a children's birthday party of rich people or running up and down the platforms at the station until there is trouble at some point. Kristijan and his siblings explore the city, alone or together with other Roma children. After an argument with a homeless person, the friends are placed in the orphanage – except for Kristijan. Only their parents could remove the children from the home, but their father would then beat them. So, Kristijan goes looking for their mother, but that's much harder than he thought. Director Kosta Ristić – a graduate of the Belgrade Film School – is part of a young Serbian generation of filmmakers who evoke an atmosphere created with playful dramaturgy and curious camera angles rather than use the plot to tell their stories. Kosta Ristić - born in 1990 in Kragujevac, Yugoslavia (today Serbia). He studied directing at the University of Arts in Belgrade. BANDITS IN SEARCH OF MOM is his graduation film and his feature film debut.
