WHEN WE OWN THE WORLD
A small town in eastern Germany. Both Richy, who is bullied at school and Tim, a newcomer from Bielefeld, are having problems growing accustomed to their new surroundings. Thus they turn to the charismatic yet unpredictable Marco who himself has become somewhat of an outsider due to his increasing flight to an illusory world: he refers to himself as a warrior in the name of Satan's struggle for world dominance. Together the three partake in a fantasy scenario that promises empowerment and adventure. As the signs transmitted to them by Satan grow weaker however the fragile friendship is confronted by a real test with fatal consequences.

Antje Kruska, Judith Keil - Judith Keil – born 1973 in Straubing, Germany. Antje Kruska – born 1973 in Dortmund, Germany. Both studied theatre studies at the Freie Universität Berlin. Together they have produced several award-winning documentary films. WHEN WE OWN THE WORLD is their debut feature film.
