Accused of having sold weapons to Hamas, two Israeli soldiers of Russian descent end up in a military prison. In order to force a fair trial they take the guards and several fellow inmates hostage. An absorbing thriller that transforms the claustrophobic isolation of its protagonists, strangers at home, into a genre film. The idea for the film was inspired by an event that took place in 1997, when twenty Soviet-born soldiers of the Golani Brigade staged a rebellion in the military prison in which they were being held.
