During the Vietnam War Ha is taken to Sofia by an author and later raised there. Several years later a journalist arranges for Ahmad Melidji, a Palastinian youth, to study medicine in Bulgaria. Both stories hit the headlines in socialist Bulgaria as examples of the friendship of peoples policy practicised at the time. Ha now leads a stateless existence in France whereas Ahmad left Bulgaria in order to take up employment in a private clinic in the west. The destinies of two individuals who with the end of the Cold War became reluctant globetrotters.

Svetoslav Draganov - born 1976 in Sofia, Bulgaria. Studied from 1995 – 2000 towards a master's degree in film and television direction at the New Bulgarian University. In 1999 Draganov founded the independent film company cineaste maudit production.
