After twenty years of imprisonment three prisoners are suddenly released. On learning of the unexpected news family and friends are not only elated but also somewhat apprehensive of a reunion after so many years. A room quickly has to be vacated in Abu Ndal's house and the families fear a renewed outbreak of long-dormant tensions and conflicts. A thoughtful reflection between melancholy and eyewitness account, which draws its tension from the latent uncertainty of waiting, indirectly poses questions on the meaning of life and knowingly keeps its political connotations open-ended.
