You grew up without a father. When you're mother dies and you're no longer sure how you're supposed to get by, you finally decide to search for your father. Two sisters en route to the big city with the goal of finding some compensation for their abortive lives. They're in luck: in a magazine the two discover an interview with their father, who turns out to be a successful businessman with an enchanting daughter whose life is filled with happiness. The sisters, abandoned by father and life alike, make a desperate decision.

Vera Storozheva - born 1958 in Troitsk, Russia. Graduated from the Moscow State Institute of Culture in 1983, whereupon she attended advanced courses in screenplay and direction, which she completed in 1993.
