A crisp, sunny autumn day. Father and son on a cruise together, the son has just come of age. The father's new partner stays on the shore. Maybe it was her intention that father and son spend some quality time together. In a brisk exchange of fragmentary sentences however the recurrent domestic drama of absent parents and hurt children unfolds. Palpable tension caught between distance and proximity, told by means of a wonderful interplay of camera and cast.

Jan Wagner - born 1975 in Hannover, Germany. Studied from 1997 to 2000 at the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin. Later studied directing at the Polish National Film, TV and Theatre School PWSFTviT in Łódź, Poland, graduating in 2009.
