Two young girls in the Lithuanian countryside. Surrounded by chickens, cats and dogs, the two of them live in the present tense. Every posture radiates the smell of summer, every gesture has its own unique meaning, be it Grandfather's cough, the glass bread plate or the flutter of curtains by an open window. When this summer comes to an end a part of childhood will pass with it. A poetic reminder in the form of film; snapshots of a timeless period. Complex, somewhat eccentric and absolutely wonderful.

Ramunė Čekuolytė - born 1977 in Vilnius, Lithuania. Graduated in costume design from the Vilnius Academy of Arts in 2000. Has since 2003 been studying script writing at the Moscow film school VGIK.
