Bor, Serbia. Once Europe's biggest copper mine, now its biggest dump. The inseparable friends Toda and Stefan have graduated from school; in the autumn Stefan intends to leave for Belgrade to study, Toda however says he wouldn't go to university even if he had the money. Whilst in the city the trade unions protest against the privatisation of the mine fields, the friends spend the summer shooting "Jackass" style skateboard videos. When Dunja returns from France for the summer holidays however the two begin to vie for her attention. Caught between companionship and rivalry they try to outmatch one another; a friendship is placed on the line. The local job centre sends Toda to various seminars, forcing him into the bureaucratic world of the adults and only increasing his sense of frustration, as a result of which his quarrels with Stefan become all the more violent. A film produced almost exclusively with the assistance of amateurs whose stunt videos had provided the director with his original inspiration. He in turn constructed the plot around this group of youths, thus narrating in a very direct and innocent manner the way in which they try to shelter their carefree world from change and thus escape the world of adult concerns surrounding them.
