As of 1994 the Georgian architect Nikoloz Gegechkori has been serving a life sentence in New York's Sing-Sing maximum security prison. He continues himself to protest his innocence, claiming to be serving the sentence for somebody else – out of love. At the same time a Parisian photographer makes her way to the United States, in order to be closer to the Georgian prisoner, who during Soviet times dreamt of nothing but freedom. This cinematic observations, set within a framework of claustrophobic prison scenes, draw us closer to the prisoner's inner world. The illusion having passed, there at least exists a dream.
