NACH 900 TAGEN

AFTER 900 DAYS

PROGRESS FILM-VERLEIH

A superbly photographed documentary describing the rise of Stalinstadt (from 1961 Eisenhüttenstadt), the new home to thousands from different parts of the GDR. Although the film does not gloss over the difficulties experienced in boosting productivity in the steelworks, the predominant tone combines Stalinist pathos with the boundless ideological optimism of those early years of the GDR.
