away in Potsdam. Studied directing at the HFF,
specialising in documentary film. His Lusatia
trilogy consisted of HOCHWALDMÄRCHEN
(1987), LEBEN AM FLIESS (1989) and
SCHMERZEN DER LAUSITZ (1991).
