In the period 1961-71 the pessimistic and artistically intriguing films made by the directors of the “Black Wave” attracted international attention and provoked the Yugoslav political establishment. Some films were locked away, many directors were prompted to change their profession or leave the country. Lazar Stojanović was even given a 3-year prison sentence for his anarchic PLASTIČNI ISUS (1971). The documentary recalls the fateful relationship between art and polit-bureaucracy.

Milan Nikodijević, Dinko Tucaković - Milan Nikodijević – born 1956 in Kragujevac. Studied film and TV directing at Belgrade Film Academy. Since 1978 a journalist for newspapers, magazines, radio and television. He is the director of the Vrnjačka Banja film festival, lectures at Novi Sad art academy, and writes screenplays.
Dinko Tucaković - born 1960 in Zenica. Studied film and TV directing at Belgrade Film Academy. An author, director and film critic, he was chairman and selection-committee member of the Beogradski međunarodni film festival – FEST from 1997 to 2002, and has made more than 100 TV features and video clips.
