News item in an Athens newspaper in 2002: “Young Albanian killer crosses the border and gives himself up to the Greek police.” This filmic parable was inspired by this report and numerous interviews with the young man it refers to. A 22-year-old Albanian bearing a cassette of Greek rock music and the dream of musical stardom enters the country illegally and perpetrates a murderous robbery in Athens. After being deported to Albania, he is imprisoned for an earlier theft. There he meets fellow-prisoner Christof, a German doctor, and starts thinking about his life.
