Sex ’n’ drugs ’n’ rock’n’roll in provincial northern Czechoslovakia in the 1970s. The enforced “normalisation” process after the crushing of the Prague Spring has left its mark on people’s everyday lives. Olin, freshly discharged from a psychiatric institution, feels the effects, too. Back home again, he becomes the hero of the local hippie scene. But the security organs are not blind to the goings-on in the spy-infested underground, where people are desperately drowning their disillusionment in booze and sex.
An uncompromising portrait of the morning-after blues and remnants of existential sensibility in a leaden era.
