Desperate to escape from her tiny village, Ilze is excited to see a newspaper advertisement placed by a film company looking for young actors. She immediately travels to Riga for an audition, but makes a mess of the whole thing. Unable to face the idea of going home, she stays on in Riga. The future, however, always seems to be somewhere else...

A debut feature delivering an atmospheric, often documentary-like portrait of a present-day group of outsiders.
