Director Danilo Caputo narrates the desolate, and yet at times comical everyday existence of a south Italian provincial town. All three protagonists are confronted with varying sounds: Cesare spends his days working in a small hotel, recording sounds in his spare time. He dreams of earning a living from his electronic music in Germany. Night porter Giovanni sees the noise of the town as a nightmare, as by day he's unable to sleep. Sissi's father recently passed away. Ever since she's been hearing his voice every night, demanding an old shirt from beyond the grave.
