Although Kati is seriously disabled, she and her parents nevertheless hope for her to be able to go to a “normal” school like any other child. Kati pushes herself and battles bravely for the required grades, but encounters a lot of resistance from the people around her. Certain children, as well as their parents and teachers, aren't up to the moral challenge of integrating the disabled child into everyday life.
An enquiry into each and every individual's capacity for tolerance and for that reason alone still highly topical today.
