SVANI
SVANI

Jabeg, the single survivor of a clan which fell victim to a blood feud several decades ago, is confronted anew with the past. In the process his Russian lover as well as a friend, with whom he completed military service in the now disintegrating Soviet Army, are also drawn into the vicious circle of violence.
A visually stunning epic about love, friendship and the inertia of archaic rites, that provides a wonderful setting for the incomparable mountain scenery of Svaneti, the highest year-round inhabited area of the Caucasus.
